Abstract

The current research aims to analyze the impact of work requirements on employee behaviors within the banking environment, with a special focus on organizational citizenship behaviors and counterproductive work behaviors, as well as to examine the mediating role that organizational justice with its dimensions of distributive justice, procedural justice, and interactive justice can play in explaining these relationships. The study was based on data collected from a sample of (210) employees from a number of branches of Rafidain bank, in order to identify how the levels of work requirements can be reflected on different types of job behavior. The results of the study indicate that high work demands do not necessarily lead to negative behavioral outcomes, as it can be associated with the emergence of constructive organizational behaviors when employees feel that there is an appropriate level of justice within the organization.
